Barrelhouse Rockets

“The band has cultivated a large following throughout the Midwest during their decade together, [having opened for] The Kentucky Headhunters, Rascal Flatts, Gary Allan, and Deke Dickerson, just to name a few.  Gas Lamp describes the band sound as 'rapid fire honky-tonk piano, thundering doghouse bass, chicken pickin' guitar, and heart-pumping drums.'"

The Barrelhouse Rockets came from a mutual love for traditional rockability, honkey-tonk, and boogie woogie, a genre that seemed to be lacking in the area.  Their in-your-face style of rockability becomes infectious, sometimes to the point of a controlled frenzy that highlights call and return vocals, guitar, and piano.

They have opened for The Little River Band, Rascal Flatts, Gary Allan, Deke Dickerson, and The Kentucky Headhunters.
